We are the largest and most advanced center for diabetes, metabolism, and hormone disorders in Western Georgia and Eastern Alabama.
We were the first to apply internet transfer of blood sugar records from glucose meters, the first group in the region to use continuous glucose monitoring. We have a complete diabetes care and education team, including diabetes educators, dietitians, and a clinical psychologist. We have an advanced osteoporosis care program, and we were the first to perform bone density scanning in the area. We were the first program in our area to do highly advanced risk factor profiles for cardiac disease, and we have the most elaborate management program for cholesterol disorders. We are the only pediatric endocrine program between Atlanta and Birmingham, Alabama, and we have the only recognized endocrine expert in medical nutrition therapy in the area.
